Some time ago I asked which are the 5 most influential papers (books) showing the development and or ideas of groundwater flow theory.
I did submit the question to the Groundwater and Hydrology email lists. 16 persons answered with references, since this is relatively little I just list which papers/books were referenced and how many times.
